      <title>Train crashes into freight carriage, multiple injured</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A passenger train crashed into a freight carriage parked on its track in Lahore, with multiple people injured. The incident happened in Qila Sattar in the Lahore section.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sources in the Pakistan Railways said that train driver Imran Sarwar and assistant driver Mohammad Bilal were among the 20 injured when the Mari Indus Express, en route to Lahore from Mianwali, collided with a freight carriage.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The rescue team provided first aid to 15 passengers at the accident site while five injured were moved to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The official said that the mishap occurred due to the negligence of the field staff who failed to change lanes on time. The railways’ officials are working on the rehabilitation of the track to resume train operations.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In early August, at least 30 people were killed and over 50 injured when at least 10 coaches of the &lt;a href="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/30329700/30-killed-as-train-derails-in-sindhs-nawabshah"&gt;Hazara Express derailed&lt;/a&gt; near the Sarhari Railway Station in Sindh’s Nawabshah on Sunday, Sindh’s Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The train departed from Karachi on August 6 for an over a 24-hour journey to Havelian in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.&lt;/p&gt;
