      <title>Dollar weakens by Rs1.02 in interbank</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The rupee strengthened in the interbank foreign exchange market as it gained Rs1.02 against the dollar on Wednesday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The greenback was trading at Rs293.88 at the closing of the interbank market, as against the closing of Rs294.9 the previous day.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the open market, the foreign currency was available at Rs296 on Wednesday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, lackluster activity was recorded at the Pakistan Stock Exchange as the benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 20.89 points, or 0.05%, and settled at 45,889.57 levels.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Similarly, the KSE-30 Index shed 51.59 points, or 0.32% to reach 16,086.97 levels at the closing of the trading on Wednesday.&lt;/p&gt;
