India’s actions in Canada are violation of international law: FO

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called the actions of Indian intelligence agencies in Canada a ‘violation’ of international law.

Speaking to reporters in a briefing at MOFA on Wednesday, spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the Canadian prime minister’s statement over the killing Hardeep Singh showed that India’s actions have spread to an international scale.

Baloch said that Pakistan has conitnuously been the victim of India’s state terrorism. She added that PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will speak about India’s excesses in illegally-occupied Kashmir in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

She said that 68 Kashmiris have been killed this year including women and children. She added that the number included 13 custodial killings. In addition, 2,900 were arbitrarily arrested, she said, adding that the aim of these acts was to break the will of the Kashmiri people.

She added that the PM will also share measures taken to consolidate economic recovery and speak about steps to encourage investment.

She also said that prior to addressing the UNGA on Friday, the PM will attend a Climate Emissions Summit as well.

Baloch said that Kakar will meet the Middle East Committee for Peace and six-member OIC team on Palestine. She said Pakistan reiterated its commitment to the two-state solution to the Palestine issue.
