Khairpur and Karachi police raided the house of Fayyaz Shah’s brother, Syed Niyaz Shah, a former district mayor, in Karachi. Police had received a tip off that the culprits could be hiding at the residence.

However, both the accused managed to evade the police and escaped.

In Khairpur, a team of police including female officials searched the Shah family’s haveli but did not find the culprits.

The main accused, Asad Shah, is already in police custody. However, the police have been unable to get the pin code for his first mobile phone and have been unable to recover his second phone.
