      <title>Punjab announces free travel for elders, students</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Punjab government on Monday announced free travel for elders and students on metro buses across the province and Lahore’s Orange Line trains.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The decision was taken in the 25th cabinet meeting chaired by caretaker chief minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As per the announcement, students in uniforms and senior citizens can take free services of Orange Line metro train, metro bus services and speedo bus for all days of the week.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Moreover, the meeting also approved the summary of minimum labour wages worth Rs.32,000.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The chief minister directed the authorities to immediately notify the decision so that they take effect.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Last year, when Pervez Elahi was leading the Punjab government, he announced the provision of free services for senior citizens and differently-abled people while he announced special discounts for women and students.&lt;/p&gt;
