      <title>Cypher case: Special Court extends Qureshi’s remand by 2 days</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A Special Court on Monday approved the extension of PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s physical remand for another two days after his three-day extension of remand expired in the US cypher case.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier, Qureshi was produced before the special court in the US cypher case.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Special Court Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain conducted in-camera hearing on the case.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Qureshi’s lawyer Shoaib Shaheen and Babar Awan and FIA prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi appeared before the court.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Qureshi’s physical remand was extended on August 25 for three days in the case under Sections 5 and 9 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923. He had been produced before the court after the expiry of his initial physical remand for four days.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PTI vice chairman on August 26 moved the Islamabad High Court to declare orders pertaining to his physical remand “null and void.”&lt;/p&gt;
