Nadeem won a silver medal at the Championship after India’s Neeraj Chopra secured the first gold medal for his country at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest. He narrowly surpassed Nadeem by a margin of fewer than a few feet in the final of the men’s javelin throw event.

Nadeem has also qualified for the Paris Olympics with a massive throw of 86.79m in his third attempt in the qualifying rounds of World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest on Friday.

The Pakistani sportsman belongs to a small town in Khanewal located in Punjab.

Earlier this week, the 26-year-old qualified for the final of World Athletics Championship with his best throw of 86.79 metres.

In May, Nadeem won a gold medal in the 34th National Games. He achieved the milestone by throwing his javelin the longest distance of 78.02 metres. Represented the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) at the National Games, he took home the gold medal.
