Hours after his cabinet took oath, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has summoned his team’s first meeting on Friday.

The 25-member cabinet will meet in the Prime Minister Office on 11 am on Friday.

Key agenda items for the meeting include the country’s economic situation as well as the state of law and order.

The cabinet includes 16 ministers, three advisors and six speacial assistants.

The caretaker government, normally tasked with running day to day affairs until elections are held, has been equipped with more powers than usual. The size of the cabinet is also being termed unusually large.
