In a video that went viral on social media, a child named Ujala says she worked and suffered at the hands of the Shah family.

Ujala said that a lady named Hina Shah would make her work the entire day, especially pressing her hard for three to four hours. However, even if she made the slightest mistake other servants would be asked to beat her.

She added that she once once spilled a bottle of phenyl by mistake and Hina Shah personally beat her with sticks and wipers.

Ujala also alleged that she would be forced to drink boiling water if she made a mistake. She added that she also considered taking her own life on more than one occasion.

For her entire ordeal, she was paid Rs4,000 every month.

Ujala eventually feld the haveli and hid at the house of her relatives. When the relatives asked her to return, she flat out refused and said she would rather die.

Hina Shah is also one of the accused in the Fatima murder case and has already obtained bail.

Fatima, 10, was reported murdered after sexual assault. She was allegedly buried without a post-mortem as well. Police have arrested Asad Shah, the main suspect in the case.
