PTI leader Sher Afzal Khan Marwat posted about the arrest on X, saying that Shandana was ‘abducted at gunpoint’ by Islamabad police at 5 pm.

Marwat said he had been informed of the arrest by Shandana’s mother, who had witnessed it.

The post was later reposted by PTI’s account as well.

“Absolutely shameful how even on their last day the fascist regime has arrested another woman politician,” the post said.

“Shandana Gulzar’s crime in their eyes is standing with PTI and Imran Khan.”
