Video footage of the event shows that a white SUV tried to run over the guard after he tried to stop the vehicle from parking in a no-parking area.

After the vehicle passed by the guard, multiple armed men came out of the SUV and roughed up the guard.

Police said that a first information report has been registered and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects.

Taking to X, formerly know as Twitter, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that this is a test case for Lahore Police.

“Shameful act indeed. Our elite is not above the law,” he wrote.
