      <title>Dollar rises by 46 paisas against rupee in interbank</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Pakistani rupee declined by 46 paisas against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Monday, the first trading day of the week.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The greenback was trading at Rs287.43 at the closing of the interbank market, compared with the closing of Rs286.97 on Friday, August 4.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At the open market, the foreign currency surged by Rs2 to reach Rs294.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Pakistan Stock Exchange also recorded a volatile session where the market moved both ways amid uncertain domestic political and economic conditions in the country.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 199.46 points, or 0.41%, to close at 48386.25 levels. Similarly, the KSE-30 Index shed 122.68 points, or 0.71%, to reach 17247.45 points at the closing of the market.&lt;/p&gt;
