The victim’s father approached the session court to plead before the court after failing to register a first information report of the alleged crime.

The judicial magistrate directed the SHO of Saddar police station to perform a medical examination of the underaged maid, identified as 10-years old Saba.

As per her father’s statement, Saba was tortured with a hot iron while the accused also cut her with a knife.

Saba was later moved to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for further treatment. She became the latest victim of violence by her employer after Rizwana, who was brutally beaten up by a civil judge’s wife.

The initial medical report had said that Rizwana had 15 wounds on her body including a wound on the head. It also added that her internal organs had also sustained damage.

The 12-member board had been constituted under Dr Jodat Saleem and she was initially kept in the surgical ICU of the Lahore General Hospital.
