Imad claimed that his father was arrested without any warrant or first information report (FIR).

In a tweet, PTI leader Farrukh Habib said that the police barged into Iftikhar’s house to detain him. Other leaders of the former ruling party claimed that the police also seized the mobile phones of his family.

The name of Iftikhar, who has been a critical part of the PTI’s information team, recently surfaced after a leaked video.

The Imran Khan-led party claimed that the series of PTI leaders’ arrests has again started. They also shared different videos to substantiate their claims.

“You get abducted in the middle of the night with no cases on you & your family gets harassed.. only happens against one party in Pakistan today,” said PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari.

He condemned the “abduction” of Iftikhar.

PTI chief Imran Khan also tweeted about the arrest of Iftikhar.

“Why has Iftikhar Durrani been picked up in the middle of the night without any arrest warrant? He had nothing to do with the 9th May incident,” he tweeted.

“So the crackdown against anyone who has anything to do with PTI continues. It should now be obvious that this oppression and clampdown against PTI has nothing to do with the events of 9th May but everything to do with the London plan to dismantle PTI,” Khan said.
