      <title>9 killed as rains continue to pour across country</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Heavy rains continued across the country late into Sunday night, causing damage to life and property in multiple parts of the country.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Heavy rains in Karachi late on Sunday night left roads and load lying areas submerged in water on Monday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rains poured down in North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Malir and Landhi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A child was killed and his mother injured when a house’s walls colalpsed in Baldia Ittehad Town after the rains.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Elsewhere in SIndh, Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad experienced heavy rains causing a drop in temperatures. However, electricity disappeared in many areas as well.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Farmers have expressed fear that date palm crop could be in danger of serious damage.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Torrential rains in Muzzafarabad, Azad Kashmir, have finally subsided but the additional water has run off causing a rise in the levels of rivers Jhelum and Neelum.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, India has released more water into Ravi, causing a low level flood at head Baloki.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Provincial Disaster Management Authority in Punjab has banned citizens from going near the river Ravi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;&lt;a id="kp-and-balochistan" href="#kp-and-balochistan" class="heading-permalink" aria-hidden="true" title="Permalink"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;KP and Balochistan&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At least six people have died in the recent rains across Balochistan in recent days, authorities said on Monday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Provincial Disaster Management Director Faisal Panezai said that the deaths had occurred in Awaran, Qila Saifullah, Zhob and Naseerabad.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Landsliding in Swat’s tehsil Bahrain destroyed a house on Sunday, causing the deaths of two children inside. Rescuers managed to save three people from the wreckage in an injured state.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile in Bismia in Makran, houses, mosques and madrassas were flooded after heavy rains.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dozens of houses are affeced, leaving locals appealing for help from authorities.&lt;/p&gt;
