US exasperatedly denies cipher once again

A State Department spokesperson once again said that the Imran Khan’s allegations regarding the ‘cipher’ are baseless.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, spokesman Matthew Miller seemed to be exasperated as he was asked about Azam Khan’s confessional statement claiming Imran Khan used the cipher to ‘make up’ a conspiracy to pressure the military.

“I don’t know how many times I can respond to this question from the podium and give the same answer,” Miller answered, “which is that these allegations, such as they are, are completely unfounded.”

He was then asked if the US would ‘help out with resolving this whole issue’ regarding sedition charges on Imran Khan, given that he had named the US in his allegations.

Miller answered that it was a domestice matter for Pakistan, in which the US could not interfere.

“I will say, as I have said before, that the U.S. does not involve itself with domestic political questions, and we do not take sides on political parties in Pakistan or any other country.”

Azam Khan, who served as Imran Khan’s principal secretary during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government turned approvar against the former prime minister on Wednesday, saying that the ‘cipher’ was used as a tool to shape political narratives ahead of the vote of no-confidence that ultimately ousted him from office.
