&lt;p&gt;A man named Mukhtar had arrived in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia for his marriage. Everything went well and he set off with his wife for his home along with an entire procession.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, they met armed men on the way and looted the groom of thousands of Saudi riyals and took almost Rs300,000 rupees that had been given to the couple as &lt;em&gt;salami&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The men also looted multiple mobile phones and cash from other people. An off-duty Aaj News reporter was also among the victims.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rescue 15 was called immediately after the event and police from Saddar police station arrived on the scene to begin investigations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Incidents of theft and dacoity have been steadily increasing in recent days in Kasur, but the police has so far been unable to deal with them effectively.&lt;/p&gt;
