      <title>Public gatherings banned in Islamabad for two months</title>

&lt;p&gt;“It has been brought to appear before me that certain segments of society are planning to organize unlawful assemblies including Majalis/Processions within the jurisdiction of Islamabad Capital Territory which can disrupt public space and tranquility and keeping in view the current law and order and security environment,” said a notification from addition district magistrate issued on Sunday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“It is necessary to control such types of illegal activities which present a threat to public peace, tranquility and maintenance of law and order.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;After the imposition of Section 144, gatherings of more than five people at one place for rallies and protests will be banned in the capital.&lt;/p&gt;
