Police sources said that Abdul Kareem, who belonged to Noshki, was going to the city from his house along with his son, Aijaz Ahmad. On the way armed men on a motorcycle stopped them and tried to snatch the motorcycle.

As the father and son resisted, the unknown men opened fire and killed the fater and son on the spot. They then made away with the motorcycle.

Relatives of the deceased along with residents of the area staged a protest and asked for the assailants to be arrested immediately.

Daylight robberies and murders are on the rise in Quetta and many people have lost their lives in a similar way in recent months.
