Trump vows “bigger than before” ban on entry of Muslims into United States

Many Muslims, including expatriates from Pakistan, still remember the chaos that then-US President Donald Trump caused by banning the entry of Muslims into the United States in 2017.

The ban directly affected seven Muslim-majority countries Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen, and caused panic among people from Pakistan and other Muslim states.

Now, Trump has vowed to bring back the same travel ban which he said will be “even bigger than before” if he is elected again as the US president.

Trump is planning to run for the 2024 presidential election in the United States.

CBS reported that addressing largely white voters in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Trump said he doesn’t want people “blowing up our shopping centers” or “stealing our farms.”

“Under the Trump administration, we imposed extreme vetting and put on a powerful travel ban to keep radical Islamic terrorists and jihadists out of our country […] Well, how did that work out? We had no problem, right? They knew they couldn’t come here if they had that moniker. They couldn’t come here,” said Trump.

“When I return to office, the travel ban is coming back even bigger than before and much stronger than before. We don’t want people blowing up our shopping centers. We don’t want people blowing up our cities and we don’t want people stealing our farms. So it’s not gonna happen,” he added.
