Reports said that Chaudhry Wajahat accompanied Shujaat as he met Elahi to enquire into his health. Reports said the meeting continued for almost an entire hour.

A medical board including Dr Amir and Dr Abdul Basit also arrived in camp jail and conducted Elahi’s check up.

Elahi is currently in jail on remand in a money laundering case being pursued by the Federal Investigation Agency. He was arrested in the case as soon as he was reelased by a Lahore court in a corruption case.

This is the second meeting between the Chaudhries in less than two weeks, After the last meeting held in jail on June 19, sources had claimed Elahi had been invited to join the PML-Q once again. Reports had claimed that Elahi had declined the offer and said he would stick with the PTI, which he joined this year.

Reports said that Elahi had said he already suffered the hardships of being jailed and the decision about his future politics would be made by his son, Moonis.
