He also contested multiple elections on PTI’s ticket until he fell out with Imran Khan.</p> <p>Tareen also announced that Aamir Kiyani would be secretary general of the new party. Kiyani was health minister and president of PTI’s north Punjab chapter until he resigned from the party following the events of May 9. He had initially said he would leave politics altogether but joined the IPP at its founding.</p> <p>Awn Chaudhry has been announced as the party’s additional secretary general and spokesperson of the party and the patron-in-chief.
