      <title>Supreme Court entertains govt petition against CJP, two judges</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Supreme Court of Pakistan adjourned on Wednesday the hearing of petitions against the formation of Justice Faez Isa-led commission to probe audio leaks.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The court met briefly and adjourned for a week.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial said more petition had been filed before the court on the same issue.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;One of the petition is from the government which has &lt;a href="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/30322976/govt-wants-three-judges-to-recuse-themselves-from-leaks-commission-case"&gt;sought the recusal of three judges&lt;/a&gt; – CJP Bandial, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Munib Akhtar – from the bench.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The chief justice said that the court would first hear the petition from the government when it meets next week.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The development coincides with the Supreme Judicial Council — the top body for the accountability of judges –  starting &lt;a href="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/30323057/sjc-starts-proceedings-against-justice-mazahir-naqvi-in-misconduct-case"&gt;proceedings against Justice Mazaahir Naqvi&lt;/a&gt; who faces serious allegations.&lt;/p&gt;
