Over 200 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders’ name were added to the Exit Control List (ECL) due to their alleged involvement in the violence that took place on May 9.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials have announced that immigration staff at all airports have been put on high alert and will be closely monitoring the situation.

In a related incident, Saima Nadeem, a prominent PTI leader and former member of the National Assembly (MNA), was recently prohibited from traveling abroad.

She had intended to board an international flight, EK-503, bound for Toronto, Canada, from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

However, an FIA official intervened and prevented the PTI leader from boarding the flight. Nadeem was offloaded and detained at the airport.

Later, she was transferred to the airport police station for further investigation. Following the completion of the investigation, the PTI leader was released.
