PTI leader Mehmoodur Rasheed arrested

PTI leader Mehmoodur Rasheed was arrested on Sunday, party sources told Aaj News. He was taken into custody from his Lahore residence, Defence, by the Crime Investigative Agency.

He joins the list of several PTI leaders arrested following the arrest of their party chief Imran Khan on May 9. So far it was not clear where he was taken, but many of the central leadership of PTI have been sent to Adiala Jail.

The Imran Khan-led party has slammed the ruling alliance for their apparent tactics to sideline the PTI from the political spectrum and stop them from contesting elections.
