Initially, he was expected to arrive in Lahore on the same date.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi had confirmed about the development and said that Arthur would take charge in one or two matches of the series against New Zealand.

“The main purpose of his visit is to prepare his team, train them and brief them. He will also discuss his plans with Babar Azam and other players,” Sethi told Cricket Pakistan.

It may be noted here that PCB recently announced a fresh coaching panel for the Babar Azam-led unit, which included Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick as head and batting coaches, respectively.

NZ team arrives in Islamabad

After playing three T20s in Lahore, the New Zealand team reached Islamabad on Tuesday by a chartered plane.

Th team will face off against Pakistan in the fourth and fifth T20 match in Rawalpindi. The kiwis will also play the first two of the five-match One Day International series in the Pindi stadium.
