Sources told Aaj News that Imran Khan will be invited in his capacity as the head of a major political party, but the PTI chairman can also send someone else from his party in his place.

The heads of all major political parties have been invited to the event and the formal invitations will be sent out this week.

The government has planned grand celebrations to mark 50 years of the 1973 constitution, incluind declaring the hall where the constitution was passed a ‘national asset’. Events for the commemoration will begin this week.

The celebrations will culminate in a ceremony where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be the chief guest.
