      <title>Nation observes 83rd Pakistan Day</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan Day, commemorating the passage of the historic Lahore Resolution on 23rd March in 1940 is being celebrated across the country today (Thursday).&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The day dawned with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital Islamabad and a 21-gun salute in provincial capitals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Special prayers were offered in mosques after Fajar prayers for the progress and prosperity of the country.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In Karachi, a graceful change of guards ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam, where Air Vice-Marshal Syed Imran Majid Ali was the chief guest.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A change of guard and wreath laying ceremony was also held at the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Mausoleum in Lahore.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Air Vice-Marshal Syed Imran Majid Ali, Air Officer Commanding, PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi Creek was the Chief Guest.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Moreover, a military parade is also set to take place at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, where three wings of the armed forces will display their professional military skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;President Dr. Arif Alvi in his message on the occasion of Pakistan Day paid tribute to the founders of Pakistan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“Despite the challenges, we have spectacular achievements with continuous hard work. We have established state institutions, who made our defense invincible, achieved nuclear capability, overcome terrorism and Corona,” said Alvi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan came into being as a result of political and constitutional struggle and its future lies in adhering to the constitution in its letter and spirit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He said Pakistan is destined to achieve great heights. “For this to become a reality, we have to forge unity in our ranks, equip ourselves with national purpose and vow to wage a struggle in line with the legacy of our forefathers.”&lt;/p&gt;
