Man frames uncle in KPO attack over personal enmity

While the Karachi Police is investigating how the office of its chief came under attack, some people in the city are trying to take advantage of the attack to get their own affairs in order.

One such incident happened when Rescue 15 received a call about a person involved in aiding the attack around 4am on Tuesday.

The caller said that the alleged ‘abettor’ was present in North Nazmimabad. The caller did not identify himself but gave the address where the said abettor was apparently hiding.

The police moved swiftly, arresting the man named Ghulam Raza. They also found out that the man was from Mansehra.

Meanwhile, the caller was not heard from again. When the police tried to contact him, his number was switched off.

Then, things took a new turn. It turned out that Ghulam Raza is the uncle of the person who made the call. Raza also told the police that a ‘property dispute’ with his nephew had been going on for quite some time.

The police have not released the arrested man yet, but senior leadership has been informed of the inceident.
