Dania was arrested and sent on judicial remand in December 2022 after Liquat’s children, from his first wife, filed a case against her for leaking the deceased politician’s private videos.

Liaquat and Shah were married from February 2022 until his mysterious death in 2022. Before his death Liquat had recorded a video saying he had ‘forgiven’ Shah for leaking his videos.

Dania Shah had applied for bail alelging she was being victimised and that the real motive behind the case was to deny her the property left by her husband.
