Twitter restricts number of tweets you may fire in a day

If you are operating both individual and business accounts on Twitter, then you might need to recalculate the number of tweets you make per day.

Elon Musk’s company has now limited the number of tweets that you can make in a day.

Twitter said it will now limit users to a maximum of 2,400 tweets a day, but users reported being prevented from tweeting far below that limit.

The exact number of tweets in a day or within semi-hourly intervals is not clear at the moment. 2,400 has been the daily tweet limit, which also includes retweets, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

Moreover, users hitting limits will be allowed to try again in a few hours, according to Twitter’s help page, after the limitation period has elapsed. Though, it is not clear what exactly the time period is.

On Wednesday afternoon, some Twitter users were able to find workarounds by scheduling tweets in advance to circumvent the “daily limit” error.

Apart from that, the number of direct messages has also been reduced to 500 per day and the new follow limit is now restricted to 400 accounts a day.

Twitter is also capping the total number an individual user can follow to 5,000, and attempts to follow more accounts will be “limited by account-specific ratios,” the site said.
