      <title>Musharraf buried with full military honours</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pervez Musharraf, former army chief and president under martial law, was laid to rest with full military honours in Karachi on Tuesday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The former president died in Dubai on Sunday after a prolonged illness, aged 79. He had been living in self-imposed exile since 2016.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;His body was flown to Karachi on Monday night via special plane, accompanied by his son and wife.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;His funeral prayers were offered in Malir Cantt’s polo ground, with a large number of army officials in attendance.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rangers and police officials were on-duty to ensure strict security. No vehicle or persons were allowed near the funeral ground without security clearance. Traffic police also made special arrangements for the burial.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Politicians and members of the civil society also attended the funerals, including PTI’s Imran Ismail and MQM’s Farooq Sattar.&lt;/p&gt;
