      <title>Nepra announces reduction in power tariff for K-Electric consumers</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;People of Karachi who have been troubled by exorbitant electricity bills may expect some relief in bill as the National Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has announced reduction of Rs7.43 per unit in power tariff for November under monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA).&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The reduction in tariff was approved after the public hearing on December 27, 2022. The national power regulator has issued notification of the reduction in electricity prices.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the Nepra’s notification K-Electric had requested to reduce power tariff by Rs.7.4 per unit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, the reduction will not be applicable to lifeline customers, domestic customers using up to 300 units, agricultural customers or electric vehicle charging stations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier, the fuel charge adjustment (FCA) for October was charged with a reduction of Rs2.45 per unit.&lt;/p&gt;
