Saudi police in Islam’s holiest city of Makkah have arrested five foreigners, including four Pakistanis, for stealing batteries from a cellular tower.

Aaj News correspondent Zakaullah Mohsin reported citing the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that at least 17 batteries were stolen from a telecommunication tower in Makkah. Police arrested one Yemeni and four Pakistani nationals and recovered the stolen batteries from them.

Saudi authorities have released a photograph showing all five men facing a wall at a police station and their hands tied behind the back.

The photo shows around 17 batteries lying on the ground.

SPA said the men were later handed over to the prosecution department for legal action.
