      <title>Gen Bajwa lauds Peshawar Corps for achieving peace, stability: ISPR</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Peshawar Corps headquarters on Wednesday, where he paid a visit to the martyr’s monument and addressed officers and personnel of the corps, the military’s media wing said Wednesday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The army chief appreciated the formation for monumental efforts in achieving peace and stability in area.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“We owe it to the sacrifices of our Shuhada (martyrs) for providing secure and enabling environment for socio-economic development in the newly-merged districts in particular and KP in general,” the ISPR quoted the army chief as saying.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The statement added that Gen Bajwa asked security personnel to remain focused on their professional duties.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier, on arrival at Corps headquarters, the army chief was received by Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Hassan Azhar Hayat.&lt;/p&gt;
