Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Monday that Imran Khan could fulfill his desire of nominating him and the prime minister in the FIR of the attack on the PTI chief, adding that they were ready to be included in the investigation.

“Imran Khan was not injured by four bullets,” the interior minister reiterated talking to the media in Islamabad, adding that he would quit politics if the PTI chief was injured by four bullets.

Imran Khan had alleged that the interior minister “has repeatedly issued death threats” to him and that he had been informed of an assassination plot “hatched by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah” and a senior military official.

Sanaullah demanded an impartial medical board to examine the PTI chief’s injury.

Taking a jibe at the Punjab government, the interior minister said that the provincial government had put a handful of people on protest who were being facilitated by the provincial police.

“Imran Khan wants to spread chaos and anarchy in the country,” the interior minister said, adding that the accused Naveed was caught by the PTI workers and was the real suspect in the attack on Imran Khan.
