Sources said that following PM Shehbaz’s meeting with the army chief a high-level meeting on national security was held under the chairmanship of the prime minister, in which the army chief and the heads of intelligence agencies participated.

The meeting discussed matters pertaining to national security.

Sources said that another meeting was held under the chairmanship of PM Shehbaz in which COAS Bajwa, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Nadeem Anjum and Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen. Hasan Azhar Hayat participated.

Security related to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the western borders was reviewed during the meeting.
