      <title>Dollar further slides against rupee</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;KARACHI: The rupee appreciated by Rs1.62 against the dollar in the inter-bank market during early morning trade on Friday. This is the sixth consecutive session when the local currency strengthened against the greenback.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The rupee was being traded at Rs228.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The local currency closed at Rs229.63 on Thursday, the State Bank of Pakistan said.&lt;/p&gt;
