The report said that 656 men, 528 children and 297 women were among those who lost their lives in separate rain or flood-related accidents.

Sindh was the worst-hit region where 638 people were killed, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 303 deaths and Balochistan reported 278 deaths.

Moreover, 12,748 people were injured in flood-related incidents with Sindh on the top where 8,321 people were injured.

1,185,481 houses were partially damaged while 569,800 were completely destroyed and over 900,000 livestock perished, the report said.

It added that 12,418 km-long roads and 390 bridges have been damaged throughout the season.

Rescue and relief operations by the NDMA, other government organizations, volunteers and non-government organizations were underway in the flood-hit area.
