      <title>Girls sweep top positions in federal board exams</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ISLAMABAD: Girls outshone boys yet again in Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) part II, securing top positions in engineering, medical general science and humanities groups.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Faiza Younis bagged the first position in the humanities group, while Tooba Abdul Basit did the same in the pre-medical group. Hadi Noor Ahmed and Iqra Mehmood also secured top positions in the pre-engineering and science general groups respectively.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A total of 75,368 students participated in the exams. 61,741 of those students were declared successful, with the success rate 83.35 per cent.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Federal Board held a ceremony to honour the position holders. Federal Minister for Education and Special Training was the chief guest at the event. Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and parents of high-performing students attended the ceremony.&lt;/p&gt;
