PTI decides to change venue of August 13 rally to Lahore from Islamabad

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to change the venue of its August 13 public rally to Lahore from Islamabad.

The decision of changing the venue was taken during the meeting of PTI political committee chaired by Imran Khan on Monday.

The rally will now be held at the Hockey Stadium in Lahore.

The development comes after Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah during a press conference in Faisalabad warned the PTI against creating chaos.

Earlier it announced that it would hold the rally at Islamabad’s Parade Ground, where its workers were to make an overnight stay and then commemorate Independence Day on August 14.

Earlier on Sunday, in his meeting with party leaders, the former premier had also announced that he would unveil his plan of action to counter ‘fascism’ at his party’s power show in Islamabad on August 13.
