      <title>Over 32,000 vehicles entered Murree during Eid holidays</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;At least 32,000 vehicles entered Murree and a little over 28,000 exited the hill station during Eid ul Azha holidays, showed the data compiled by the traffic office of Rawalpindi.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to Rawalpindi City Traffic Officer (CTO) Naveed Irshad, 360 wardens and traffic officers were deployed on the route for Eid ul Azha to maintain traffic.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It had finalized all the arrangements besides setting up a control room to facilitate the tourists and monitor the traffic situation in Murree.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He said special arrangements were made to ensure that tourists visiting the hill station were able to avoid any untoward incident.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Murree has a parking capacity of 3,500 vehicles, he added, with a maximum 8,000 vehicles allowed to enter Murree on daily basis.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“1,380 tourists were provided help and assistance while nearly 13,000 awareness pamphlets were also distributed among the visitors,” he said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Special counting and checking pickets were also set up at entry and exit points of Murree, he added.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Despite being a two-way and narrow roads, there was no traffic problem on any of Murree’s highways, he claimed while urging drivers to avoid overtaking while driving.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A special desk and helpline had also been set up for the convenience of tourists, he added.&lt;/p&gt;
