A TLP spokesman said that Saad Rizvi’s car was fired upon. After the firing, a stampede broke out in the area creating panic in the constituency.

According the TLP, chief Saad Rizvi was on his way to Landhi Number 6, when workers from the PSP fired at the vehicle. Three TLP workers were shot, they said.

The PSP alleged that its senior leaders and election office were attacked and accused TLP workers of firing, adding that PSP leader Iftikhar Alam was injured during the firing and a party worker was shot dead.

It demanded the arrest of the suspects involved in the killing of the party worker.

In another tweet, the PSP said its central election office was attacked while the party’s senior leaders were present in the office and were injured.

The PSP accused TLP workers of firing at its party chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal during a media talk.

Meanwhile, MQM-P claimed in a tweet that several incidents of violence against his party’s workers took place during the by-election and alleged that several MQM-P workers were “brutally tortured” by PSP members in the presence of the police and Rangers.

He alleged that “gangsters” of PSP and TLP barged into polling stations and beat up polling staff.

It demanded the election commission take notice of the incident.

MQM-P claimed three of its workers were in serious condition.

A clash was reported between workers of the MQM-P and the Pak Sarzameen Party at the Union Council-23 Landhi outside the polling station at the Govt Boys Primary School, Ansari Muhalla.
