Good morning to everyone but Sindh, Minister Jhagra decides

Najy Benhassine, World Bank Country Director for Pakistan, started the morning on the right note, sharing some interesting news about the recently launched Rescue 1122 emergency helpline in Karachi.

The Rescue 1122 service started in Lahore in 2004. It has since then expanded and spread to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The rescue service was also announced for Karachi earlier in the month and its helpline was made functional 48 hours ago.

Benhassine just spilling important facts

KP Finance Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra saw this as the perfect opportunity to take a potshot at Sindh and its existing emergency services. He did try to end the tweet on a somewhat positive note, talking about the success of the services in KP and how Sindh deserves better.

Le first troll arrives

One would think Sindh would show restraint after all no one was personally shamed, but it seems that some ie Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Law and Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab took Jhagra’s tweet more seriously than others.
