KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has issued a note that the weather will be changing in Karachi from now on.

It may drizzle in the morning and night from Monday (today) till Wednesday, it said.**

Light rain as part of the pre-monsoon season would continue at intervals in the city, it added.

The first spell of pre-monsoon rains in cities of Punjab and Balochistan were welcomed by people on Saturday, but the hours-long load shedding became difficult to bear.

“Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while gusty/dust raising winds are likely in the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh with rain-wind/thunderstorms in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north east Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas in the afternoon /evening,” said a report forecasting Monday’s weather.

Pre-monsoon rains may start the second week of June and the proper monsoon is expected in the last week, according to the outlook.
