Others tightly held on to their seats as they veered between a life and death situation thousands of feet above the ground.</p> <p>Quick-thinking and presence of mind on part of the captain brought the situation under control.</p> <p>Instead of landing the Airbus A320, the pilot increased altitude and circling around the airport.
