      <title>Summer vacations announced in Sindh schools from June 1 to July 31

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Karachi: The Sindh Education Department on Tuesday announced summer vacations in schools across the province from June 1 to July 31.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;“In pursuance of decisions taken in the Steering Committee Meeting on Education held on 22nd February 2022, all public and private institutions under the administrative control of Secondary Education and Literacy Department Government of Sindh shall remain closed from 01-06-2022 to 31-07-2022 as summer vacation,” read the notification issued by the provincial education department.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The announcement comes as the province is under the grip of a &lt;a href="https://www.aaj.tv/news/30286131"&gt;heatwave&lt;/a&gt; amid &lt;a href="https://www.aaj.tv/news/30286585"&gt;hours long loadshedding&lt;/a&gt;. Citizens have been complaining about power shortages in their areas.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Currently, matriculation examinations under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi are underway. So far, 69 students have been caught cheating in exams, read a press release issued by the board on May 23.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Education experts in the past have stressed the need for utilising summer vacations and learning new skills.&lt;/p&gt;
