Talking to the newsmen in Islamabad, the federal minister said that the CPEC project was a national development plan which the previous government tried to make controversial.

He said that Imran Khan was still thinking that he was prime minister, adding that the nation had to suffer the incompetence of the Imran-led government.

Speaking about the power crisis in the country, the minister said the previous government was responsible for the electricity shortfall. “Imran Khan-led government did not add a single megawatt to the power grid,” he added.

He said that Imran Khan would have to answer about the four-year performance of his government.

Iqbal said that the former premier was spreading anarchy and chaos in the country through fake news.

He claimed that the previous government filed false cases against its opponents.

Iqbal was referring to a reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for his involvement in the Narowal Sports City Complex corruption which he had denied.
