The actor along with producer Saira Afzal shared some exciting stories about the making of the project on Sidra Iqbal’s morning show ‘Aaj Pakistan.’

“Saira did with us that no producer ever has. We traveled to many different locations in Balochistan to Punjab just to shoot one song,” revealed Khan, urging audiences to listen to the songs on Spotify and YouTube.

Directed by Amin Iqbal, Rehbra is a romantic comedy film, shot at many beautiful locations.

Praising Iqbal’s previous work, Khan said that he’s a director’s actor. “While I do make my own characters but to some extent I feed off the director’s energy. Positive, negative, hyper, dead, slow, good, you become like that when you’re working with a certain director.”

Another thing that helped Khan embrace his character in the film was his co-star and long-time friend Ayesha Omer.

Trying out new things and achieving on-screen chemistry becomes easy if you already know the other person well.

The main lead had their fill of adventures while filming Rehbra, but one event stands out for Khan. “There’s a shot in the trailer in which we’re both standing on a cliff in Gwadar. So the director asked us to climb up for a drone shot. We thought to ourselves, wow this would be such a beautiful shot and so we started climbing,” recounted Khan.

Half way to the top, the actor realized their shoes were not suited for hiking. “We looked down and thought we can’t go back, we looked up and thought there’s no way we’re going back without doing the whole thing.”

Finally they made it to the peak which was merely the size of a small table. When the director asked for a twirl, the actors shouted, “No way, we’ll fall.”

To this day, Khan and Omer wonder why they said yes to the shot.
