Earlier, the premier chaired a meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad with the prime minister in the chair to discuss the overall political and economic situation of the country.

It is also being reported that PM Shehbaz would make key announcements regarding decisions taken in consultation with elder brother and party leader Nawaz Sharif during the premier’s visit to London.

PML-N leaders including Maryam Nawaz, who is Nawaz’s daughter, have stated that Nawaz would make the decision on the date of the election.
